Explore the majestic art-cities of Florence and Venice and then dive into the unspoiled natural beauty of the northern coasts and lakes - from sculpture to hiking to winemaking to paddling a gondola – the north has such great variety in its destinations, and this trip has the pick of the crop!

Days 1-2
Your adventure in Northern Italy begins with a cycle ride round Lucca 's perfectly preserved medieval city walls, before we head into town to explore close-up. We'll also visit the incredible Leaning Tower of Pisa for that essential photo opportunity!
Day 3
It's a short drive to the coastline of the Liguria region, and the five villages of the picturesque Cinque Terre. We will have a full day to walk the famous coast path and explore the villages, or simply relax by the sea before returning to Lucca in the evening.
Day 4
Fascinating Florence awaits you for a day of art, history, shopping, gelato, or whatever you like – there is so much choice! Making the most of our centrally-located accommodation, we can enjoy a full day and night in the heart of this splendid city.
Days 5-7
We have two full days to explore and enjoy Venice. That's plenty of time to visit the museums and monuments in this utterly unique 'floating' city, take a gondola ride, watch a glass-blowing demonstration, shop for souvenirs and then relax on the beach at the Lido .
Days 8-9
The largest and cleanest of the Italian lakes, Garda is ideal for waterskiing, sailing and windsurfing. There are also opportunities for hiking or bike riding along the shores, and boat trips on the lake, or simply kick back and soak up the sunshine with a long cool drink!
Days 10-12
Asti - famous all over the world for its rich traditions and typical products - the land of wine, cheeses, truffles, hazelnuts and chocolate. We will visit a winery to learn about production methods, and of course we'll raise a glass to our fantastic trip in Northern Italy - cheers!
